Tour of Israel

Tour of Israel

Your trip to Israel is a return to your religious roots and maybe a once in a lifetime experience. Understanding this, we provide the highest standards of service and expertise when it comes to your journey in the Holy Land. The first step is building an itinerary to suite your needs. Israel has so much to offer theologically, historically, archaeologically and culturally that making the most of your time is essential. There are so many experiences to be had that there cannot be “a one size fits all” itinerary. Using years of guiding experience we understand not just the logistics, but the secret corners and experiences that do not come up on other itineraries. And we want to share them with you.

All of our guides are handpicked to a very high standard. Whether what you are looking for is a family experience with plenty of fun activities for the children or a dive into scripture in the places it happened or something in between, we can provide this for you. We cater to groups of all sizes from individual travellers to family and friends to church trips using a tour bus.
Then, we put your dream itinerary into practice. We take care of everything from when you arrive in Israel to when you leave. Having hotels and sites and activities pre-booked by us saves you not only the hassle but is often also cheaper than doing it yourself. We can also make reservations for restaurants during the trip as well as providing great recommendations.
Whilst creating your trip, we will exchange emails and calls to understand what you want included in your trip and suggest additional options. This way we ensure that everything is just how you want it. I speak to every customer personally both before and after the trip to ensure that their standards are met.

Hiking Tours

The best way to connect to a land is to hike it and the land of Israel has a lot to offer, from snowcapped mountains to desert. Spirituality and connection with God is not just found in Israel’s history and ancient cities, it is also in the fields, valleys and hills through which its people and its prophets walked. As we hike through parts of the Galilee, we know that Jesus and his disciples saw the same sights and walked among the same trees and plants that we do today. The same applies for Mt Carmel, where the prophet Elijah roamed 2800 years ago. Or, if we want to go more extreme and further back, we can go to the desert to the Faran valley or the Zin wilderness through which Moses led the tribes out of Egypt.

Whether you wish to spend a couple of hours getting off of the main route or spend a whole day or multiple days hiking, we can provide an experience which is both fun and spiritual that you will not find on many other itineraries.
Imagine looking up to the hills around you, and saying,
“I lift up my eyes to the hills From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord” (psalm 121)
Knowing that you are looking up at the same hills saying the same words as those people did in the time of the temple and Jesus

Outdoors and active

Kayaking

Many groups take boat tours on the Sea of Galilee, which is of course an option for us. But for the more adventurous among you, we can take a kayak tour, and experience this holy place in a far more intimate way. Abseiling: Repelling down a mountain side is just fun, not to mention the adrenaline rush! This activity can be done in the north or south of Israel and is a great activity for smaller groups.

Outdoors and active

This is a really special activity and an amazing way to see Israel. We are a small country (about the size of New Jersey), so once you gain a bit of elevation you can see large sections of the entire country. A balloon ride offers stunning views and is the perfect way to understand the geography and topography of the land which has shaped its history.

Slingshot

A unique activity based in the southern Golan Heights, the group will learn the history of some of Israel’s major military conflicts as well as participating in “real-time battlefield challenges facing Israeli soldiers today”.

Jeeps and ATVs

If you like getting a bit dusty and going off road, then these are the options for you. Jeep or ATV activities come with their own guides specializing in that area and entertain you as you drive around the hills and open spaces of Israel.

Cultural

Music

Music is a big part of any culture and Israel has a lot to offer. We have everything from eastern style music with instruments coming from Asia to klezmer music traditional to eastern European Jews (think Fiddler on the roof) to niggunim which are songs using sounds instead of words. Whether it is going to an event or bringing a band/ performance to the hotel, we can create an amazing musical experience.

Political lectures

I myself give political lectures, but can also bring in specific experts from both sides of the political conflict.

Kibbutz Tour

The kibbutz is a type of village community unique to Israel and the movement as a whole was crucial in the creation of the state of Israel. As I am a kibbutznik (somebody who lives in a kibbutz) it is a part of the country that I am especially passionate about sharing with others. We will learn about the early kibbutz movement, its importance in Israel’s history and what it has become today.

Food and beverages

The gathering in of the exiles to Israel has brought Jews from all over the world, each with its own cuisine. These flourish alongside the flavours and cooking styles of the Arabs, Druze and Bedouins. This makes it worth coming to Israel just for the food.

Sea of Galilee fish meal

One option would be to eat fish and bread, cooked on a fire on the shores of the Sea of Galilee along will a selection of food that would have been available in Jesus’ time. This experience is inspired by Jesus cooking for his disciples in the gospel of John 21.

Druze

One option is to go to a Druze home. They are a religious minority in Israel and are famed for their food. We will eat home cooked food whilst hearing the story of that family and their people.

Food Mahaneh Yehudah

Mahaneh Yehudah market is a vibrant food market in the heart of Jerusalem. We can take a food tour, sampling Jewish food from Russia, Morocco, Ethiopia, Iran and many more.

Wine tasting

After experiencing Israeli cuisine, many of you may want a glass of wine. Israel is a less well-known wine country, competing with Australia, Chile, South Africa and even Italy and France. We can visit one of Israel’s many wineries for a tour and tasting, or simply get a selection delivered to the hotel for the end of the day.
